Emergency Road Closure - Drury Lane

Drury Lane in the Parish of Mortimer is closed between 30th September and 6th October 2021,  the closure is from the junction of Turks Lane  and Pitfield Lane.

This is an emergency closure so that repairs can be made to a visible leak.

Residential access will be maintained throughout and the diversion will be signed on site.

West Berkshire's 'Cut It Back' Campaign

Did you know that overgrown vegetation such as hedges, trees and flowers can put the safety of pedestrians and motorists at risk?

Residents and businesses are responsible for vegetation that overhangs from private property on to the public highway/footpaths within West Berkshire and they are urging people to 'cut it back'.

The Community Fund is intended to support voluntary and community groups that help to prevent crime and keep communities safe.

Organisations from across Thames Valley can apply for either a micro grant (under £1,000), or larger grant (over £5,000) for projects that support one of the PCC's 'Police and Criminal Justice Plan' priorities:

Emergency Closure - The Avenue

The Avenue in the Parish of Stratfield Mortimer is currently closed until the 14th September 2021, the closure is outside number 40 The Avenue. This is an emergency closure so Thames Water can carry out a repair a visible leak.

Residential access will be maintained throughout and the diversion will be signed on site.

Temporary Closure of Mortimer Common Post Office

The Parish Council have been advised by the Post Office that due to extensive refurbishment works due to start shortly within the shop at 9-15 Victoria Road, the Post Office branch will temporarily close on Friday, 17th September 2021 at 5.30pm.

When the branch reopening date is confirmed, the Post Office will display posters to let customers know and apologises for the inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
