Eunice Storm Damage

Unfortunately, as a result of Storm Eunice, one of the Lime trees in the Parish Council Cemetery has been blown down.

Although it has fallen over the graves, it does not appear that any of the headstones have suffered damage. 

A contractor will be attending on Saturday the 19th of February to clear and remove the debris.

Thames Valley police will be in The Fairground Car Park from 1-3pm on Sunday 13th February for marking valuable equipment and tools.

Don't let your Hedge be a Hazard!

If you have a hedge which borders a pavement or a public road, now is a good time to cut it if you haven’t already done so this autumn/winter. It is your responsibility to make sure your hedge doesn’t overhang the pavement or a highway and it is important to get it done before the bird nesting season starts again.

Changes to Kerbside Waste Collections from February 2022

Bin days are changing from 7 February 2022 - apart from the collection day revision, no other changes are being proposed at this time. The change will not affect the existing frequency of collections or how West Berkshire collect waste from households. Collections will continue to take place on the same new collection day each week from 7 February 2022

West End Road Vegetation Clearance Works - beginning 7th February

As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council’s (HCC) programme to make Hampshire’s roads more resilient to the effects of extreme weather and heavy traffic, there will be vegetation clearance works on West End Road, from the junction of St Catherines Hill to the stream to the west in preparation for the design of drainage improvement works currently programmed to commence in mid-March.
