Section 60 authorised in Burghfield

Thames Valley Police has put in place a Section 60 order in Burghfield, which allows officers to stop and search anyone in the defined location. Full information here (opens in new window).

The order temporarily enhances powers for officers, meaning they can stop and search anyone in the area.

It was enacted from 3pm on Thursday, 21st April, and continues for a minimum of 24 hours but will be reviewed and could be extended further.
