The Street in the Parish of Stratfield Mortimer and Wokefield will be closed from the 21st – 25th March 2022 (weather dependent), between the hours of 09:15 – 15:15, from its’ junctions with Station Road and Goodboy’s Lane. This closure is to enable Volker Highways to carry out surface dressing work on behalf of West Berkshire Council.
Access for buses will be maintained at all times
A new pilot project is being developed in response to community groups who asked West Berkshire Council (WBC) to provide a community mapping tool.
A steering group has been working to create West Berkshire’s “Community Life Connected” Map on the aDoddle platform. The map connects grassroots community groups with others in West Berkshire, facilitating sharing, learning and helping each other to strengthen our communities.
As part of the annual programme of works being undertaken by Operation Resilience, Hampshire Highways will shortly be undertaking drainage cleansing and investigation works in West End Road, from the junction with St Catherine’s Hill to the watercourse to the west.
The Burghfield Mortimer and District Foodbank Centre at the Leonard Rooms, St Oswald's Catholic Church, Burghfield Common will be opening up again this coming Friday, 11th March 2022, and every Friday from then on.
