Platinum Jubilee Village Hall Fund - Closing date 20th January 2023

On 20th December the Government announced that the Platinum Jubilee Village Hall Fund had opened for applications.

The fund is managed by the charity Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) and village halls in England can now apply for grants to improve and modernise their facilities.

Community Warm Spaces - new interactive map

As part of the continuing support for communities during the current high cost of living West Berkshire Council have created an online map showing welcoming, warm spaces where people can come to stay warm and enjoy some company with a hot drink or other refreshments. 

West Berkshire libraries across the district always welcome visitors and have newspapers and magazines as well as running a range of activities and book groups. Many churches and community organisations are offering sessions for local people to come along and meet old or new friends.

Parish Council Office Closure for Christmas and New Year

Please note that the Parish Council office will be closed over the holiday period from Friday, 23rd  December 2021 and will reopen on Tuesday, 3rd January 2023.

Stephens Firs - Closure until 14 December

Stephens Firs is currently closed and will be reopened on 14th December  2022.  The closure is front its junctions with Victoria Road and Ravenworth Road.

This emergency closure is to enable Thames Water to repair a visible leak in the carriageway.

Residential access will be maintained throughout.
