STRATFIELD MORTIMER NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN - SELF EMPLOYED ADMINSTRATOR/RESEARCHER

Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council has embarked on an exciting project: a new Neighbourhood Plan to define key initiatives and develop the roadmap for Stratfield Mortimer through to 2037.  Guided by the parish council, this community based project, run by the community to ensure that the Neighbourhood Plan seeks to represent the aspirations of the people who live here.

This year, West Berkshire Council are looking to create a sustainable Christmas shopping guide for residents featuring local independent stores, charity shops, farmshops, craft stores, environmental events such as repair cafes and swap shops and more.

The Street Closure - 31 October to 1 November

The Street in the Parishs of Wokefield and Stratfield Mortimer, between its junctions with Goodboys Lane and Station Road will be closed from 31st October to 1st November 2022 between the hours of 09:30 to 17:00.  This closure is to enable Volker Highways to carry out permanent carriageway repairs on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

West Berkshire Cost of Living Hub launches next week -24.10.2022

The support hub will provide advice and practical support for local people in financial hardship, making it easier for residents to get the help they need.

The new West Berkshire Cost of Living Hub, which is being created to support those facing financial hardship this winter, will be open to residents from next Monday (24th October).
