Three Village Defibrillators offline due to software issue

The following village defibrillators are currently offline due to a software issue:

- Mortimer Surgery 72 Victoria Road

- Sansome & George Estate Agents 45 West End Road

- Horse And Groom Public House The Street

This is being looked into as a matter of urgency.

In the event of an emergency, please dial 999 and, if appropriate, you will be directed to the nearest online defibrillator.

Fairground Fitness Equipment - Update

The installation of the fitness equipment on the Fairground will now be starting on Friday the 29th of July as opposed to Thursday the 28th. As before, the area to the left of the tennis courts will be sectioned off and will be unavailable until installation is complete and the final inspection undertaken. This remains as approximately the 6th of August.

Neighbourhood Plan Survey - 3 Days to Go

There are now only three days left to have your say.  The new neighbourhood plan survey closes on 30th July.

New local and national government policies can reduce the relevance and effectiveness of a neighbourhood plan. That’s why a new group of councillors and community members is shaping updates to our Plan to maintain its effectiveness. They are also conducting a review of the land allocated behind Tower Gardens for a new surgery, school and parking.

Burghfield Road currently Closed for emergency repairs

Burghfield Road in the Parish of Statfield Mortimer  is currently closed and will be opened on 25th July 2022. The closure is between its junctions with Reading Road and Unnamed Road from Padworth Road along County Boundary.

This emergency closure is to able Thames Water to repair a visible leak in the carriageway.  

Residential access will be maintained throughout .
