Rail Service Disruptions in early October
A reminder that both tomorrow (Saturday, 30 September) and on Wednesday, 4 October, the ASLEF (train drivers) union will be on strike at GWR, as well as other train operators. This means GWR will only have a very limited service on place, and most of the network will have no service whatsoever. Disruption is also likely on the days following strikes too.
Where they are able to operate, services will start later and finish much earlier than usual. They may also be subject to short-notice alterations or cancellations. Journey planners have now been updated and for more information please visit: www.gwr.com/strike (opens in new window).
ASLEF are also taking action short of strike today (Friday, 29 September) and from Monday, 2 October to Friday, 6 October inclusive. Please note that GWR are planning on running a full timetable but again some services may be disrupted.
