Padworth Road Junction - Closure 1st December 2022

Padworth Common Road in the Parish of Ufton Nervet will be closed on 1st December 2022 between the hours of 08:00 to 17:00.   The Closure is front its junctions with Camp Road and Unnamed Road from Padworth Road along County Boundary.

This closure is to enable Volker Highways can carry out permanent carriageway repairs on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

Christmas Tree on The Fairground

This year's Christmas tree is now up, and lit, on The Fairground with thanks to Cllr. Steve Hill, Cllr. Amanda Marsden, Frank Stansfield and the team in the office.  Thanks also to James and Will Strang for giving their time, and equipment, to help the parish council team get the tree into place, and to Dan Jeffcoate for assisting with the electrics to light up the tree.

West Berkshire Council is asking everyone living and working in West Berkshire how inclusive and fair it is. This Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Survey has been widely circulated as we hope to hear from all residents and local organisations about their experiences so that we can make the changes needed to move us forward.

Mortimer Greening Campaign - Come and Meet Us This Sunday

Members of the Mortimer Greening Campaign will be at St John's Hall this Sunday, taking part in the Mortimer Emporium from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Come along and find out about the purpose of the Greening Campaign and how you as an individual and us as a community can make small changes to reduce our carbon footprint and save money!

Sunday's session is just a taster, the official launch will be taking place on Saturday January the 14th, 2023 at Mortimer Methodist Church Hall, where 8 challenges will be revealed, and a Community Experience Exchange is planned.
