An update from The Fairground

Christmas Tree

The Christmas tree was installed on Friday, 26th November, and the Parish Council would like to thank all those who gave a helping hand, including members of the Council, Dan Jeffcoate, Jay Sylla, Richard Coles, and James and Will Strang for the use of their telehandler.

The tree stands tall even after all the rain, high winds and snow over the last weekend.

PARISH CEMETERY - Reopened

The Parish Council cemetery has now been cleared of the recent criminal damage done and will be open  as of Friday, 4th December.  Please be aware that after the loss of the avenue of trees, it will look a little changed from your last visit.

An inspection was made in the cemetery to ascertain that there was no damage to any plot but should you wish to report anything, please call the office on 0118 933 1955.

PARISH CEMETERY - Update

Further to the criminal damage that occurred in the Parish Council cemetery on Sunday night, clearing work will take place next week on Wednesday (1st December) and Thursday (2nd December) to remove the felled and damaged trees, with the aim of reopening to the public on Friday, 3rd December.

The Parish Council is grateful for the prompt responses received from local contractors to help us get the cemetery ready for safe access again.

Thames Valley Police is keen for your help in reporting any areas where you feel unsafe in the District. There is a new pilot service called StreetSafe (a national scheme) hosted via the Met Police website where issues can be reported.
