On Thursday 4 May local elections will be held to elect councillors to West Berkshire Council and Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council. To vote in these elections, you must be registered to vote by 11:59pm on Monday 17 April, 2023.

On Sunday, 23 April the Government will be issuing a mobile phone emergency alert check – meaning that any mobiles which are on will be activated and sound an alarm.
Mobile phones or other mobile devices do not have to be connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi to get alerts - every such device in range of a mast will receive the alert.
Bloomfieldhatch Lane, Beech Hill, will be closed during the hours of 09.30 to 15.30 each day from the 11th to 13th April 2023, the closure will be from its junction with Cross Lane to the District Boundary.
The diversion route is expected to be via - Grazeley Green Road, Goring Lane, Reading Road, Burghfield Road, Victoria Road, The Street, and vice versa.
