Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The Council expresses its deepest gratitude for the many years of truly outstanding and dedicated service by Her Majesty to our nation and the Commonwealth. She will be much missed.

The Council has opened an online condolence book to allow parishioners to share their memories and thoughts at this sad time. 

In addition, St John's Church will be open daily for quiet contemplation, the laying of flowers and the lighting of candles. A condolence book is also available for signing.

Community Grant Fund open from 1st September 2022

The Council is excited to announce its new Community Grant Fund.

Outdoor Gym Equipment on Fairground

The outdoor gym equipment on the Fairground is now open for use. 

Please note that the equipment is only for the use of adults and children over 14 as part of people's fitness routines.

The gym consists of six piece of equipment:

  • a skier
  • a rower
  • a double leg press
  • a chest press and pull down combo
  • a surfer
  • a space walker

There are instructions for the safe use of the equipment on each piece.

Community Fund grants available to community groups to help prevent crime across Thames Valley

Matthew Barber, Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) has opened the latest round of applications to his Community Fund.

The Community Fund provides a bi-annual grant funding opportunity to both voluntary and community groups across the Thames Valley.

Village Defibrillators - Update 19th August 2022

The village defibrillators at:

- Mortimer Surgery, 72 Victoria Road

- Sansome & George Estate Agents, 45 West End Road

- Horse And Groom Public House, The Street

- BT kiosk opposite the Co-op

are now back online and available for emergencies.
