Notice of Election for both Wards and Parish Councils within West Berkshire

The Notice of Election for both Wards and Parish Councils within West Berkshire has been issued today, Friday, 24th March 2023.

Please note that to stand for election to Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council, you must be:

  • A UK or Commonwealth citizen; or be a citizen of the Republic of Ireland; or be a citizen of another Member State of the European Union
  • At least 18 years old
  • An elector of the parish council; or in the past 12 months occupied land or other premises in the area the parish council serves (as owner or tenant); or work in the area the parish council serves (as your principal or only place of work); or live within three miles of the parish council boundary.

Nomination papers may be downloaded from the Electoral Commission at https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/media/5016 (opens in new window) and returned in-person to the Returning Officer, Room B Reception, West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury RG14 5LD, on any working day from the date of publication of the notice, on Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays) but NO LATER THAN 4pm on Tuesday, 4th April 2023.
