Please be aware that the repairs to the bridge parapets will begin on Monday 25 July 2022 and complete on the 5 August 2022 (Monday to Friday between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs).
This will entail welding and replacing rotten and rusted steel tube sections and then cleaning back to bright steel to receive a new paint system.
A Heatwave level 4 warning has been issued for the first time by the Met Office for parts of England next week (Monday,18th and to Wednesday, 20th July), meaning a risk to life is likely as temperatures could reach 40C (104F) in some areas.

A Level 3 Heat Health Alert has been put in place by the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) in the east and south-east of England, while a Level Two alert has been issued for the rest of England. They will remain in place until 9am on Friday.
