… your councillors will see you now!
We can’t guarantee we can cure everything but come along to The Baobab on Friday, 10th November between 10am and 11am when Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council will be holding its first surgery for members of the public.
The parish council's Community Grant Fund is available for community-based initiatives, and recently the council awarded a grant of £1,500 to the Mortimer Cricket Club towards its Outfield Project.
Applications for a grant from the Community Grant Fund are currently open until 30th November 2023.
At the October meeting we were delighted to co-opt Hugh Kilshaw onto the Council, meaning we now have our full quota of 15 councillors.
This year's Mortimer Scarecrow Trail is brought to you by Mortimer Village Partnership and the theme is 'Sing-a-Song of Scarecrows'. The parish council has created an entry this year which can be found by following the trail map to the library.
There is also a fun quiz attached to each scarecrow character and a prize draw to win a £50 cash prize. Winners will be announced on the MVP Facebook page and www.mortimervillage.org.uk the week after the event ends.
