Climate and Environment

Background

Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council (the Council) initially formed the Climate & Environment Steering Group primarily to set up, launch and run the Greening Campaign in the parish, and to become a community focal point for climate & environment initiatives, projects and community information and support.

The Mortimer Greening Campaign was successfully launched in January 2021. Through this our community undertook to make some simple changes to their everyday lives which, if sustained, would result in significant reductions in Mortimer’s carbon emissions.

Now managed by the community through Greening Mortimer (an affiliate of MVP), the Council continues to proactively support Greening Mortimer and other climate and environmental initiatives.
