The safety inspection of the equipment has now been completed but some minor snagging issues are still to be resolved before the equipment can be made available.
Notice is hereby given that, by the resignation of Cllr. S. Beard, a vacancy has occurred among members of the Parish Council.
Any person willing to fill this vacancy should apply to the Clerk in writing for an application form to be returned on or before 26th of August 2022.
A Heatwave level 3 warning has been issued from 12:00 on Tuesday 9 August to 09:00 on Tuesday 16th August 2022.
Temperatures are likely to rise to levels that increase the risk of ill health among vulnerable people (especially for the very young, or very old, or those with chronic disease).
Further to its meeting on the 8th of July, the parish council agreed to help the Windmill Court residents to create a petition requesting West Berkshire Council not to lift the current restrictive covenant(s) or other restrictions.
The aim of the petition is to prevent Sovereign Housing Association’s proposals to redevelop the site without alternative accommodation being available within the village to Windmill Court residents, that would allow them to retain family and/or personal ties.
