Planning Application for CCTV on The Fairground

A planning application has been submitted to West Berkshire Council for the proposed CCTV on The Fairground and is awaiting the appointment of a case officer.  The application can be viewed under case number 23/01514/FUL on WBC's planning portal. Simple Search (westberks.gov.uk) (opens in new window)

Sunday Lime 2 Local Bus Service

Currently on Sundays the Lime 2 Bus Service operates between Burghfield and Reading.  From Sunday 10th of September every other journey will extend to Mortimer, giving Mortimer a service to and from Reading every two hours.   

The Sunday timetable will be shown on Reading Buses web site and also in the travel guide on the West Berkshire Council’s web site.

Reading Road - part closure 4th to 7th August

Reading Road in the Parish of Padworth, will be closed on the 4th to 7th August 2023, the closure will be between its junction with Silver Lane and its junction with Rectory Road.

The diversion route is expected to be via - Padworth Rd, Reading Rd (toward Mortimer), Burghfield Rd, Victoria Road, West End Road, Welshman’s Road, and vice versa.

Goring Lane - partially closed on 28th July 2023

Goring Lane in the parish of Wokefield, will be closed during the hours of 09.30 to 15.30 on the 28th July 2023, the closure will be from its junction with Goodboy’s Lane to the district boundary.
