Public Meeting – Important Update for Mortimer Residents

Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council will be holding a Public Meeting on 8 December at 730pm at St John’s Village Hall regarding the proposal for 350 homes and a travellers’ site on the edge of Mortimer.

Representatives from West Berkshire Council, Ward Councillors, and the Parish Council will explain the Regulation 18 objection process, how to access the consultation portal, and the planning grounds needed for effective objections.

Update on Correspondence with the Landowner – Proposed Basingstoke & Deane Local Plan Site

Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council has written to the landowner of the site identified in the emerging Basingstoke & Deane Local Plan for a proposed development of 350 homes and a travellers’ site.

The landowner, Englefield Estate, has now responded to the Parish Council’s correspondence.

There will be a public consultation regarding changes to on street parking restrictions at Tower Gardens, Mortimer. The public consultation will run from 9am on Thursday 27th November 2025 to midnight on Thursday 18th December 2025
