Upcoming roadworks

Green Lane in the Parish of Ufton Nervet will be closed on 31st July 2024, between the hours of 08:00 to 17:00.  The closure is between its junctions with Island Farm Road and Unnamed Road from Ufton Lane to Camp Road.  This closure is to enable Volker Highways to carry out permanent carriageway repairs on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is looking at options for a new Royal Berkshire Hospital as part of the government’s New Hospital Programme. The Trust have so far identified two sites which could be suitable and want to understand the impact for staff, patients and the wider community including residents and local businesses if the hospital moves.

Garth Hall: A Joint Statement from the Royal British Legion and Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council

The Royal British Legion are intending to transfer their Trusteeship of Garth Hall, Mortimer.

Following a publicity campaign earlier this year, a potential new Trustee has been identified to take over the Trust under which the property/land is held.

Brew Up a Greener Future: Coffee Pod Recycling Launches at West Berkshire Council Recycling Centres!

West Berkshire Council, in partnership with Veolia and Podback, the pod recycling service, have added used aluminium and plastic coffee pods to the items collected at both Newton Road and Padworth Recycling Centres in West Berkshire.
