There is something called the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF), which is a Government fund for small rural businesses.
Businesses can apply for between £10k - £40k to invest in a project that will help stimulate growth, diversification and employment in our rural communities.
The Fairground Car Park will be closed from 7am on 29th February until 10am on 1st March. This is due to the exchange of the Breast Screening Van for an essential service

Footway improvements adjacent to the Cafe and Estate Agents in Victoria Road, Mortimer are being undertaken from the 19th of February 2024 with works scheduled to last four days. To undertake these works safely a short footway diversion will be in place around the works. There will also be two-way temporary traffic signals in place for the duration of the works.
Unfortunately, as with most highway related activities such as this, a certain level of disruption and noise is inevitable.

The breast screening van will be returning to The Fairground car park on Monday the 12th of February and will be remaining on site for 8-12 weeks.
All those eligible for screening i.e. those ladies aged 50 - 70 and registered locally, shall automatically receive an appointment. Others who are 71 and over, and those who are not registered, and have not had a mammogram in the last three years may self-refer by calling 0118 3228282.
