Dates for the closure have now been extended to the 16th August 2021.
Thames Water have advised that due to geological characteristics, a change in working method is required, thus this process will take longer that initially anticipated.

On Friday (21st May), West Berkshire Council launched a new grant scheme, the Welcome Back Business Grant, for bids from local businesses.
The purpose of the scheme is to help drive footfall in the high streets and shopping areas of West Berkshire this summer, celebrate re-opening, and support the visitor economy and local businesses.
From Monday, 24th May, the Mobile Community Collect service will operate with some changes to route stops and timeslots. Please see the updated route schedule below for more details.
West End Road, Mortimer is to be closed from the 1st June to 11th July 2021, the closure is from its junction with St Catherine’s Hill to its junction with Stephens Road.
An alternative route is via St Catherine’s Hill, Victoria Road, Stephens Road and vice versa.
Activities are taking place in West Berkshire for Dementia Action Week in association with Berkshire Age UK and the Alzheimer’s Society.
