Freedom of Information Act
Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council updated its Freedom of Information Policy on 15 January 2026. The policy supports the statutory framework for responding to requests for information under access to information legislation including the Data Protection Legislation, Schedule 12A of the 1972 Act, the 2000 Act, and the 2004 Regulations. It includes a revised Publication Scheme.

Note: Data Protection Legislation prohibits the publication of certain categories of information.
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Parish Council has 20 working days from receipt of a request (in writing) to provide the information requested or to supply a refusal. Please be aware that the Parish Council Office is not staffed every day so correspondence may not be acknowledged straight away.
