SMPC Welcome a New Co-opted Councillor
At the October meeting we were delighted to co-opt Hugh Kilshaw onto the Council, meaning we now have our full quota of 15 councillors.
Hugh has lived in the village since birth, attending the local schools and recently completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Younger than other currently serving councillors, he is looking forward to bringing the perspective of the next generation to the Council as well as introducing fresh and innovative ideas. He is keen to assist with developing the Council’s communication strategy and through his experience with social platforms, promote interaction with all areas of the community. His recent experience in financial services and corporate governance will no doubt prove to be invaluable skills in understanding and assisting with the day-to-day running of the Council.
