Local MPs Contacted Regarding Proposed Development
Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council has written to Olivia Bailey MP (Reading West and Mid Berkshire) and Alex Brewer MP (North East Hampshire) regarding the proposed allocation of Site SPS5.15 – Land at West End Farm, Mortimer in the Basingstoke and Deane Draft Local Plan.
This follows earlier correspondence sent on 23rd September 2025, and reflects the growing concern within the community over the scale and location of the proposed development.
As part of this latest communication, the Parish Council has shared a press release highlighting local opposition and providing details of the upcoming community rally on:

We are awaiting a response from both MPs and have invited them to engage with the community and, if possible, attend or provide a statement ahead of the rally.
