Remembrance Day 2020
This year, in light of the current Covid-19 restrictions, there will not be a public event held at the War Memorial this year.
Residents are invited to join in this year’s commemorations from their homes.
Please join the village from your doorsteps and gardens at 10.58am ready for the ‘The Last Post’, ‘Exhortation’ and a two-minute silence, followed by ‘Reveille’ and ‘Kohima Epitaph’.

A recording of the wreath laying at the War Memorial – which will be made at an alternative time to this year’s commemorations – will be available to watch via social media and on this website.
There will be a Church Service, with the reading out of names, at 11.05am from at St John’s Church, Mortimer. This is not open to the public, but residents can watch via Zoom. Details and the link to the service will be available at: https://www.mortimerbenefice.org.uk
