Level 3 Heatwave Alert from 20th July 2021
A heatwave level 3 warning has been issued from Tuesday, 20th July to Thursday, 22nd July. This means that temperatures are very likely to rise to levels that increase the risk of ill health among vulnerable people.
The Met Office, in conjunction with Public Health England, is issuing the following heatwave warning for our area:
"Stay out of the sun. Keep your home as cool as possible - shading windows and shutting them during the day may help. Open them when it is cooler at night. Keep drinking fluids. If there is anybody you know, for example an older person living alone, who might be at special risk, make sure they know what to do."
