Fairground Facilities - Coronavirus Update

Further to the recent Government’s announcement in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, changes regarding the Multi Use Games Activity (MUGA) and the tennis courts will be as follows:

  • The MUGA shall reopen on Saturday 16th May. This may be used by an individual by themselves or with members of their household or with one other person from a different household, whilst staying 2 metres apart. Please only play for 30 minutes if other individuals are waiting to play and DO NOT USE other people’s equipment.
  • One tennis court shall reopen on Saturday 16th May. An individual may play singles and doubles with other members of their household and/or up to six members from different households, whilst staying 2 metres apart. Players are asked to bring hand sanitizers and wipes to clean the access keypad and door handle.

A guide for tennis players is available here (pdf opens in new window)

Unfortunately, the playground and play area will remain closed until further notice.

The Fairground may be used for exercising and spending time outdoors e.g. sitting and enjoying the fresh air, picnicking, or sunbathing. An individual may also meet up outdoors with one person from a different household. However, all the above activities must take place whilst following social distancing guidelines.

Whilst on the Fairground, there must not be gatherings of a group of more than two unless they are members of the same household.

Anyone showing coronavirus symptoms, or anyone self-isolating or from a household which is self-isolating, should stay at home - this is critical to staying safe and saving lives.
