West End Road Vegetation Clearance Works - beginning 7th February

As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council’s (HCC) programme to make Hampshire’s roads more resilient to the effects of extreme weather and heavy traffic, there will be vegetation clearance works on West End Road, from the junction of St Catherines Hill to the stream to the west in preparation for the design of drainage improvement works currently programmed to commence in mid-March.

The vegetation clearance is programmed to start on Monday, 7th February 2022 and is expected to last for up to 5 days. During this time the road will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 09:30 to 16:00hrs each day.

Whilst every effort is made to adhere to the published programme dates there may be times when HCC’s work is postponed at short notice. The dates will be updated on the yellow sign boards located at each end of the site to keep travelling public and local residents are aware.

Please be aware any vehicles left parked on the road that prevent the works taking place, face the risk of being removed.
