West Berkshire Council 2021 Community Champions
Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council nominated the Mortimer Lunch Club for West Berkshire's Community Group of the Year award and is pleased to advise that the Lunch Club was awarded joint winner for 2021.
The judging panel at West Berkshire Council noted the effect the club has had in supporting older people in the community, including its response during the pandemic, to reduce social isolation and loneliness, and how much people value the service.
Congratulations to the team at the Mortimer Lunch Club for this well-deserved recognition of what they do and note that the judges were impressed by the impact the club has made.
