This Christmas Shop Local, Shop Green
Calling all eco-conscious local businesses!
This Christmas, West Berkshire Council is going to be showcasing our independent local businesses with green initiatives by creating an online magazine. This is to encourage residents to shop local and shop green, as part of the Council’s aim to make West Berkshire greener. So, whether you are a farmshop selling locally-sourced produce, or an craft store with eco-friendly gifts, tell them more to be included in the Christmas magazine!
The Christmas magazine will be aimed at resident’s shopping for their Christmas needs so West Berkshire Council will include local online shops too.
What is your business doing to help make West Berkshire a green district? This could include publishing a climate strategy, achieving carbon certification, using recyclable packaging, or choosing a sustainable supply chain. Maybe you provide vegan or locally-sourced produce, or support environmental projects in your area?
Please fill out this form at West Berkshire Council - This Christmas Shop Local, Shop Green - information and answer all of the questions carefully. Those who have been accepted will be informed by mid-November. The magazine will be online, and will be promoted through the District Council's channels, e.g. newsletters, social media.
Deadline for application is 11.59pm 31 October 2021.
