Meetings of the Parish Council
Full Council meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month
(except August) and commence at 7:30pm.
Agendas for these meetings showing the business to be discussed are displayed on the two Parish Council Notice Boards (one on the wall outside the Library entrance and the other outside the Post Office) and the Parish Council Web Site.
Full monthly Council meetings are held in The Lounge (back room) of the Methodist Church, West End Road. Because of new security measures for the hall, If you wish to attend the meeting, it will be necessary to ring the door bell at the Church main entrance and someone will let you in.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe all full Council and Committee meetings of the Council.
Before the proceedings begin the Chairman of the Council, at his or her discretion, may invite members of the public to briefly address the Council in relation to any item on the Agenda. Any such discussion will not form part of the formal proceedings of the Parish Council Meeting and will not therefore be included in the Council’s official Minutes.
Other Committee meetings including Planning Committee meetings are held in the Parish Council Office (at the back of the library - entry is by the side gate). The dates for these are also displayed in advance on the Parish Council notice boards. Because of the tight timescales imposed by Government on planning applications these meetings are held whenever required and details of the plans to be discussed are posted on the two council notice boards three days in advance. All planning applications are available for inspection in the Parish Council Office and can also be viewed on the West Berkshire Website. for direct link go to WBC Planning Applications drop down tab on Parish Council Homepage.
